world's largest pysanka, Easter 2007As a child I lived in several small towns, but I happily spent my high school and university years in Regina, Saskatchewan. Believing that change is good, I left after university and moved to Ottawa indefinitely. The second I arrived I realized that leaving forever is different from leaving for a little while. No longer tempted to live anywhere else, Regina has again been my place of residence since November 2002. This is my home.

I have a Bachelor of Administration, specializing in Marketing with a Co-operative Education Designation, from the University of Regina. I am the Manager of Marketing & Communications at the Saskatchewan Science Centre, and I think right now it's the perfect place for me to be. Before that I was writing web content, but I love the variety in my new job.

I tend to be drawn to creative people and endeavours, but in most aspects I'm a typical Capricorn. I think astrology is silly, but it just happens to describe me reasonably well - independent, practical, responsible, cautious, reliable, organized, loyal, stable, and honest. And yes stubborn, but don't forget practical.

I lived in Ottawa and Edinburgh (Scotland) each for over a year and traveled some of England, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Czech Republic. I've also been to Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, Seattle, Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, and much of Western Canada. in June, 2009 I'll be flying to the Maritimes for the first time, arriving in Halifax. I'll be there 8 days and I'm really looking forward to it.

I love: coffee, cooking with and for my friends, road trips, soccer, potlucks, my dog, brunch, improving our community, being happy, CouchSurfing, my laptop, the MS Bike Tour, being from Saskatchewan, street art, frisbee, Firefox, singing in the car, creating giant papier mache puppets, sustainable ideas, the Oxford comma, reading classic literature and modern classics, being inclusive, art openings, Google, talking politics, live music shows, cycling, my RSS feeds, and camping.

I do: I'm continuously learning Spanish and French, looking into learning to play the guitar or hand drums, I'm on the Board of Directors of the Regina Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, I can teach juggling workshops, paper lantern workshops, and papier mache puppet workshops, I want to learn how to walk on stilts for carnivals, I'm occasionally involved with the Creative Avenue art collective, I knit, I play soccer and ultimate frisbee, I've taken some pottery classes, and I'm very sociable. But, I do like my quiet time too.
